Now Hiring: VR Robot Teleoperators
Ardent Staffing is seeking motivated individuals to support a cutting-edge robotics team with machine learning (ML) work. This role is ideal for curious, tech-savvy individuals who enjoy hands-on work, problem-solving, and adapting in a dynamic environment. The work will begin immediately, and candidates must be available for onsite work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate robots using a VR system to perform various tasks.
- Follow a provided demonstration playbook to execute tasks accurately.
- Collaborate with engineers and managers to communicate issues or improvement suggestions.
- Monitor, evaluate, and interrupt robot behavior as needed to provide corrective demonstrations.
- Participate in continuous feedback and improvement processes.
- Assist with QA work during non-teleop hours.
- Document new skills or changes to processes clearly and effectively.
Schedule:
- Up to 40 hours per week.
- Flexible but regular schedule preferred between 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM.
- This is a fully onsite role.
Requirements:
- Must be comfortable performing tasks while standing for several hours (with breaks).
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Capable of wearing and using a VR headset and hand controllers/gloves for extended periods.
- Must fall within the height range of 5'7" to 6’1" due to equipment calibration.
- Strong computer skills preferred (e.g., PC gamers, Linux users).
- Comfortable with ambiguity and evolving tasks.
- Eagerness to learn, problem-solve independently, and show initiative.
- High attention to detail and willingness to document learned skills and processes.
