We are seeking a hands-on and creative Process Engineering Technician to support the development and assembly of advanced electromechanical systems. The ideal candidate thrives in fast-paced environments, enjoys solving problems, and takes pride in building reliable systems to support prototype and low-volume production builds.
We are seeking a hands-on and creative Process Engineering Technician to support the development and assembly of advanced electromechanical systems. The ideal candidate thrives in fast-paced environments, enjoys solving problems, and takes pride in building reliable systems to support prototype and low-volume production builds.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, fabricate, and deploy custom workstations, fixtures, and storage solutions for safe and efficient prototype builds
- Identify, procure, and maintain specialized tooling for complex electromechanical assembly
- Set up, qualify, and maintain assembly areas and process equipment
- Build and continuously refine low-volume assembly lines to support evolving product designs
- Provide hands-on technical guidance and troubleshooting support to build technicians
- Collaborate with manufacturing engineers, designers, and supply chain to accelerate iteration cycles while maintaining quality and safety
Requirements:
- Proven experience designing and building custom workstations, carts, or tool storage solutions using hand tools, fasteners, and framing systems (such as 80/20 or Creform)
- Familiarity with process setup, equipment installation, and mechanical troubleshooting
- Strong knowledge of hand tools and assembly equipment
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and build documentation
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative, team-first mindset
Preferred Qualifications:
- Industry experience in robotics, automotive, aerospace, or advanced hardware manufacturing
- Basic CAD skills (Catia or SolidWorks preferred) for fixture or workstation design
- Familiarity with MES tools, prototype tracking systems, or build documentation platforms (such as Confluence, JIRA, or Tulip)
- A passion for hands-on problem-solving and continuous improvement
