Job Description
We are seeking a full-time Cardiac Sonographer to join our team. This position requires an individual who can thrive in a busy, fast-paced clinical environment. Cardiac sonographers use non-invasive cardiovascular technology equipment to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of patients with heart and vascular conditions. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills to effectively convey clinical information to physicians and demonstrate a compassionate bedside manner with patients.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Perform echocardiograms and stress echocardiograms, including 3D, AFI, and strain imaging, with comprehensive preliminary reports.
- Evaluate heart function, chamber size, valve performance, and blood flow using ultrasound imaging.
- Review patient files and recognize abnormalities in basic cardiac conditions.
- Process reports, maintain equipment, and manage appropriate patient files.
- Assist in diagnostic procedures as required.
- Schedule patient appointments and explain procedures clearly and professionally.
- Ensure proper operation and maintenance of ultrasound equipment.
Minimum Requirements
- Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS or RCS).
- CPR Certification.
- 3–5 years of relevant experience.
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency with Electronic Medical Records (EMR).
