Pay: $22.00/hour | Full-Time | 1st Shift (Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM)
Ardent Staffing is seeking an experienced and reliable Grainer/Grinder to join a leading sheet metal fabrication team in Sharon, MA. This is a hands-on position ideal for someone who takes pride in precision, quality, and craftsmanship.
Key Responsibilities
- Grind, polish, clean, and deburr sheet metal parts using hand tools and powered equipment.
- Maintain proper contours, edges, and grain direction per blueprints and specifications.
- Operate tumbling machines to smooth and finish parts.
- Inspect finished components to ensure quality standards are met.
- Use buffing and grinding wheels safely and effectively.
- Perform heavy lifting and material handling as required.
- Accurately record job quantities and labor data in the computer system.
- Support shop operations with additional duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Basic reading, writing, and math skills.
- Strong manual dexterity and keen attention to detail.
- Ability to lift and move heavy materials safely.
- Comfortable working with hand tools and powered machinery.
- Previous grinding/finishing or metal fabrication experience is a plus, but not required.
- Positive attitude, willingness to learn, and ability to take direction.
