A fast-paced engineering team is seeking a hands-on R&D Test Technician to support the testing and development of advanced electromechanical systems. This opportunity is ideal for someone who thrives in an R&D environment and enjoys troubleshooting and working closely with complex hardware systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and monitor actuator and subassembly test stands, following defined procedures
- Log and track test results, failures, and detailed observations
- Perform initial troubleshooting of mechanical or electrical issues
- Collaborate with engineers on root cause investigations and retesting efforts
- Set up and maintain test hardware, equipment, and part traceability records
Required Skills:
- Experience testing mechanical or electromechanical systems in an R&D or lab setting
- Ability to interpret mechanical drawings and electrical schematics
- Familiarity with test equipment and data logging tools
- Excellent documentation habits and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and handle shifting priorities
Preferred Qualifications:
- Background in testing actuators or motion systems
- Experience with JIRA, spreadsheets, or documentation platforms
- Exposure to failure analysis and root cause investigations
- Awareness of safety standards around high-voltage or high-force equipment
