Test Technician
Electronic Test Technician (PCB Assemblies and Cables) — Temp-to-Perm ($24–$26/hour)
Overview
Seeking an experienced Electronic Test Technician to support functional testing, failure analysis, and calibration activities for PCB assemblies and cable products in a contract manufacturing environment. This is a temp-to-perm role with an hourly pay range of $24–$26.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform functional testing on PCB assemblies and cables using customer documentation, internal procedures, and software tools to verify compliance with customer requirements and industry standards.
- Document, analyze, and communicate test results; report issues and discrepancies to the appropriate team members.
- Utilize test equipment and hand tools including oscilloscopes, multimeters, power supplies, calipers, pull testers, and related instruments.
- Conduct failure analysis to identify root causes and recommend corrective actions and improvements.
- Maintain and update the maintenance and calibration database; ensure records are accurate and current.
- Record and scan Certificates of Conformance (CofCs) and equipment/tooling reports as required.
- Perform maintenance and calibration on internally calibrated/maintained equipment; prepare and track tooling/equipment for outsourced calibration.
- Maintain and monitor ESD program compliance; conduct scheduled bench and cart audits.
- Perform select mechanical operations as needed during testing and assembly processes.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to improve test coverage, throughput, and quality.
- Adhere to safety, quality, and documentation standards at all times.
Qualifications
- Proven experience testing PCB assemblies and cable harnesses in a manufacturing or contract manufacturing setting.
- Proficiency with oscilloscopes, multimeters, power supplies, calipers, and pull testing equipment.
- Familiarity with failure analysis methods and corrective action processes.
- Knowledge of calibration practices, documentation control, and equipment traceability.
- Understanding of ESD controls and audit procedures.
- Strong computer skills; ability to follow digital work instructions and update databases.
- Excellent attention to detail, documentation accuracy, and communication skills.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and test procedures.
- Team-oriented mindset with the ability to work independently under minimal supervision.
