Ardent Staffing is excited to present an excellent opportunity for a Senior Production Technician to join a dynamic and innovative team supporting advanced laser and optical technologies. This hands-on role involves building, testing, and troubleshooting fiber lasers and optical amplifier systems within a scientific manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Build, align, calibrate, and test high-performance laser and amplifier prototypes and production units
- Perform precision optical fiber splicing, cleaving, and routing, including single-mode and polarization-maintaining (PM) fibers
- Troubleshoot analog and digital control electronics (optical monitors, safety circuits, control boards)
- Analyze and interpret performance test data; prepare clear and concise technical reports
- Collaborate with engineering teams to implement upgrades and improvements
- Maintain accurate production records, test logs, and supporting documentation
Qualifications
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Photonics, Laser Technology, or a related technical field
- Minimum of 5–7 years of hands-on experience in laser or optoelectronic device manufacturing
- Strong working knowledge of analog and digital electronics with troubleshooting skills
- Experience with fiber optic handling, splicing, and testing
- Ability to read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documents
- Familiarity with test instruments such as oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, and optical power meters
- Understanding of fiber laser operation and optical amplifier principles is preferred, but not required
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Must be able to lift 25–50 lbs
