We are seeking a Quality Engineer with aerospace experience to join our team in Hudson, MA. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in supplier quality assurance, quality management systems, and hands-on aerospace compliance work, including FAA 8130 approval and Parts Manufacturing Approval (PMA).
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of Supplier QA including evaluation, documentation, and performance improvement
- Serve as the primary point of contact for supplier quality-related issues
- Collaborate with MRB Coordinator on non-conforming materials and corrective actions
- Review purchase orders, technical drawings, and documentation for quality compliance
- Lead supplier corrective actions (CAPA), perform root cause analysis, and ensure long-term resolution
- Conduct statistical analysis, monitor quality metrics, and present KPIs
- Develop and maintain quality procedures and specifications
- Support and maintain ISO/AS quality management systems, including FAA and aerospace standards
- Participate in internal quality audits
- Ensure compliance with FAA 8130 approvals and PMA requirements
Qualifications
- Experience in the aerospace industry with knowledge of FAA 8130 approvals and PMA
- Solid QA/QC experience in a manufacturing environment
- Familiarity with ISO9001 and AS quality management systems
- Knowledge of ERP/MRP systems
- Strong analytical and organizational skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or Chemistry
