We are seeking an energetic, hands-on CNC Mill / Lathe Machinist–Programmer to join our growing team. Our production facility is clean, modern, and equipped with world-class technology. We support a variety of industries, with a strong focus on stainless steel and high-temperature alloys.
Position: Associate Mill / Lathe Machinist III / Programmer
Responsibilities
- Program, set up, and operate CNC machine tools, including multi-axis lathes.
- Work self-sufficiently, taking various metal types from raw stock to finished product.
- Select appropriate cutting tools and apply current machining practices.
- Interpret customer drawings and specifications to:
- Plan and lay out work
- Determine speeds, feeds, tolerances, and machining sequence
- Perform complete sequences of operations as needed
- Perform machine setups and make necessary adjustments, including trial cuts.
- Finish metal components by hand or machine as required.
- Use precision measuring instruments, including:
- Vernier calipers, micrometers, surface gages
- Profilometer, CMM, vision systems, dial indicators
- Apply trigonometry to calculate complex angles and dimensions.
- Use shop math and standard handbook formulas to compute dimensions for planning and layout.
- Use computers and related software for programming and documentation (Fusion 360 preferred; Mastercam acceptable).
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 5+ years of machining experience preferred (not strictly required for the right candidate).
- Strong teamwork skills and a solid work ethic required.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
