Ardent Staffing Solutions is seeking an experienced Welder Fabricator to join a growing manufacturing team. In this role, you’ll cut, form, and weld sheet metal components to create custom parts and assemblies, supporting both prototype and production work. Ideal candidates will be proficient in MIG and TIG welding, blueprint reading, and working with close tolerances.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform MIG and TIG welding on steel, stainless steel, and aluminum
- Weld from simple corners to complex frame assemblies
- Execute welding tasks for both prototypes and production runs
- Conduct in-process grinding as needed for finished assemblies
- Collaborate with team members and occasionally assist other departments as needed
Qualifications
- Proficient in MIG and TIG welding across multiple materials
- Skilled in welding construction practices: jigs, fixtures, sequencing, etc.
- Able to weld light sheet metal through plate and structural tubing
- Strong blueprint reading and layout skills
- Experience using precision measuring tools, including dial calipers
- Capable of holding tolerances to ±.005 inches
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks throughout the shift
