CNC Machinist – Setup, Programming, and Operation
We are seeking a skilled and dependable CNC Machinist to set up, program, maintain, and operate CNC milling machines. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who takes pride in precision work, values safety, and enjoys optimizing production processes.
Responsibilities
- Fabricate metal and plastic components using CNC milling machines through CAM and manual CNC programming.
- Select and apply cutting tools, feeds, speeds, and tooling life strategies to ensure efficient and accurate part production.
- Design and create custom fixturing as needed.
- Read, interpret, and follow blueprints, engineering drawings, schematics, specifications, and bills of materials.
- Maintain CNC equipment and keep tooling and material inventory organized.
- Collaborate with engineering to identify and implement improvements for efficiency and quality.
- Use measurement tools to verify parts meet quality standards.
- Adhere to all quality and safety protocols.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Perform additional duties as required.
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience programming and operating CNC milling machines.
- Strong computer navigation skills.
- High attention to detail with the ability to work independently.
- Knowledge of fixture/tooling offsets.
- U.S. Citizenship required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Tormach machines.
- Proficiency in CAD/CAM software.
- Familiarity with CMMs or advanced measurement technologies.
- Experience with micromachining.
