We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Material Handler to support a dynamic R&D team in managing the flow of critical materials for prototype builds. This fully onsite position is based in Waltham, MA and plays a key role in ensuring efficient operations in a fast-paced, hands-on engineering environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and kit materials for prototype builds, ensuring timely and accurate delivery to build teams
- Transport components, subassemblies, and circuit boards between inventory, technicians, and test areas
- Return completed or unused parts to inventory, maintaining up-to-date records
- Track material availability, report shortages, and help resolve discrepancies
- Move materials safely using appropriate handling methods and equipment
- Support continuous improvement efforts in material flow and organization
Required Skills:
- Experience in material handling, kitting, or logistics in an R&D, prototype, or technical environment
- Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems like SAP or Salesforce for inventory tracking
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and operate standard material handling tools
- Basic computer skills (email, spreadsheets)
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Strong communication and teamwork mindset
