Join a team that's shaping the future of robotics and automation! Our client in Waltham, MA is seeking a skilled, hands-on NPI Mechanical Technical Specialist to support the design, build, and refinement of cutting-edge robotic systems in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
- Location: Waltham, MA
- Shift: Full-time, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- Pay: $55/hour
In this role, you’ll work alongside top engineers to assemble and test precision electromechanical components like actuators, gearboxes, and robotic structures. You’ll develop and document efficient build processes, design fixtures and tooling, and support continuous improvement across prototype and low-volume production.
What You Bring:
- 6+ years’ experience in mechanical assembly and troubleshooting (robotics, aerospace, motorsports, etc.)
- CNC machine operation and programming experience (5+ years preferred)
- Strong understanding of mechanical systems (gears, pneumatics, bearings)
- Skilled with hand tools, blueprint reading, and CAD software (SolidWorks or CATIA)
- A proactive, independent mindset with top-tier problem-solving skills
