What You’ll Do
- Read and interpret basic drawings/layouts; plan the setup, assembly, and weld sequence
- Lay out, position, align, and fit components for structural assemblies
- Secure parts using bolts, clamps, and tack welds prior to final welds
- Perform MIG and TIG welding; laser welding experience is a plus
- Assemble using bolting and riveting as needed
- Repair and rework parts by dismantling, straightening, reshaping, and reassembling
- Follow safety procedures and complete other tasks as assigned by the supervisor
What You Bring
- High school diploma or GED (or equivalent experience)
- 1–3+ months of relevant welding/assembly experience preferred; trade school a plus
- Solid understanding of basic measurements and shop math (fractions/decimals, rates/percent)
- Ability to read simple instructions, notes, and basic drawings; communicate clearly in small team settings
- Problem-solving mindset and ability to follow written, verbal, or diagrammed instructions
Physical Requirements
- Regularly stand for extended periods; frequent use of hands and arms; occasional climbing/balancing; stooping/kneeling/crawling
- Lift/move: regularly up to 25 lbs, frequently up to 10 lbs, occasionally up to 50 lbs
- Vision: close vision, depth perception, ability to adjust focus
Work Environment
- Manufacturing floor environment with moderate noise
- Occasional exposure to heights, fumes/airborne particles, and vibration
- Proper PPE and safety protocols provided and required
Schedule and Pay
- Full-time, temp-to-perm
- $25–$28 per hour, depending on experience and skill level
