PCBA Electrical Test Engineer
Ardent Staffing Solutions is hiring an Electronics Test Engineer for a leading technology company in Waltham, MA. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional to enhance board bring-up and testing processes for cutting-edge electronic systems. You'll work with a team of engineers to develop and improve test plans, troubleshoot PCBAs, and drive efficiency in production testing.
- Hourly Pay Rate: $50 – $60/hr
- Work Hours: 9:00 am – 5:00 pm
- Shift: Standard business hours
- Location: Waltham, MA
What You'll Do:
- Develop and execute PCBA test plans for validation, bring-up, and production
- Design and maintain automated test fixtures and diagnostic software
- Troubleshoot PCBA failures and collaborate with design engineers and suppliers on root-cause analysis
- Optimize test procedures to improve efficiency and scalability
- Work with contract manufacturers to ensure quality and consistency
- Evaluate and integrate new test methodologies to enhance reliability
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in PCBA electrical testing, ideally in robotics, automotive, or aerospace
- Strong hands-on experience with oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and debugging tools
- Expertise in board bring-up, functional testing, and troubleshooting of high-speed digital, power, and mixed-signal circuits
- Proficiency in automated test development using Python, LabVIEW, or similar languages
- Familiarity with DFT (Design for Test) and ICT (In-Circuit Test) methodologies
- Ability to solve complex problems in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
