New Product Introduction Technician (NPI)

We are looking for a New Product Introduction (NPI) Technician to support our customer's cutting-edge electromechanical prototypes. This is a hands-on role where you will assemble, test, troubleshoot, and refine complex mechanical systems, working closely with engineers to bring new products to life.
- Location: Waltham, MA
- Shift: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- Pay: $40 – $50 per hour
What You'll Do:
- Assemble and test actuators, gearboxes, and structural components for advanced mechanical systems.
- Operate CNC equipment and other fabrication tools.
- Design and build custom tooling and fixtures to improve assembly efficiency.
- Troubleshoot mechanical and electromechanical issues, performing root-cause analysis.
- Collaborate with engineers to enhance designs for manufacturability.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
What You Bring:
- 6+ years of hands-on mechanical experience in robotics, automotive, aerospace, or similar industries.
- Strong expertise in mechanical assembly, troubleshooting, and CNC operation.
- Ability to interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and use hand tools effectively.
- Experience designing fixtures and documenting assembly processes.
- Basic CAD skills (SolidWorks or CATIA preferred).
- Ability to work independently and adapt to evolving technical challenges.
