We are seeking a Manufacturing Project Engineer with PCB and DOD experience for our aerospace and Department of Defense contract manufacturing client.   This Project Engineer is essential to the successful execution of government contracts and will be called upon to leveraging their manufacturing engineering expertise.

Key Responsibilities for this Project / Manufacturing Engineer:

  • Implement project plans for government contracts.
  • Provide guidance in all phases of manufacturing processes, from design to production, ensuring compliance with industry standards and customer specifications.
  • Manage project schedules, budgets, and resources to meet established milestones and deliverables.
  • Serve as a liaison between engineering, production, and quality team
  • Utilize strong account management skills to build and maintain positive relationships with clients
  • Demonstrate proficiency in interpreting technical drawings, specifications, and requirements to ensure accurate and precise production outcomes.

Qualifications for this Project Engineer:

  • Must have Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related PCB / Electronics progressive work experience.
  • 5+ years of hands-on Manufacturing Engineering experience.
  • Must have DOD or Military Contract project management experience
  • Solid account management experience and communication skills.
  • PCB Design and Layout: Proficiency in using PCB design software (such as Altium, Eagle, or KiCad) to create and optimize circuit layouts, ensuring proper routing, component placement, and signal integrity.
  • Must have a strong understanding of PCB fabrication processes, including knowledge of materials, soldering techniques, surface-mount technology (SMT), through-hole assembly, and quality control standards.
  • Ability to design PCBs with manufacturing and testing considerations in mind, optimizing designs for cost-effective production and efficient testing processes.
  • Adeptness at identifying and resolving issues related to PCB manufacturing, such as addressing design flaws, troubleshooting production equipment, and resolving quality control concerns.
  • Familiarity with industry-specific standards and certifications (e.g., IPC-A-600, IPC-A-610, RoHS compliance), ensuring that PCB designs and manufacturing processes meet relevant regulatory requirements.
