Electronics Repair Technician

We are currently seeking a Repair Tech I. In this position you will repair manufactured products to the component level. Will work with minimal supervision following operational guidelines, specifications and customer requirements.
Typical duties of the Repair Technician:
- Receive product being returned and diagnose problem.
- Repair, clean, inspect and test the product to the component level using hand and power tools, measuring and testing equipment,
- Understand and follow schematic diagrams, assembly drawings and instruction manuals.
- Effectively utilize the repair and RMA programs to perform tasks such as RMA database documentation, schematic & drawing inquiries, BOM. inquiries, inventory requests and adjustments, email, calibration rentals, and program firmware.
- Utilize product manuals, price lists, repair codes, and modifications log.
- Maintain test equipment and hand tools
- Maintain inventory of electronic components for product repairs and exchange
Must be able to use the following:
- Hand tools (i.e., pliers, cutters, screw drivers, hammers, power drills, etc)
- Soldering & de-soldering irons
- Oscilloscopes
- Multimeter or VOM
- AC test fixtures
- Automatic Test Equipment
Qualifications for this Repair Technician:
- Strong attention to detail for data entry accuracy .
- Electronic Trade School Certification or Associates Degree in Electronics.
- Certificate in soldering strongly preferred
- Surface mount capability a must.
- Read and understand electronic schematics and wiring diagrams.
