CAD Fixture Designer
We are seeking a skilled CAD Fixture Designer to support the design and development of precision tooling and fixtures that enable high-quality manufacturing, inspection, and assembly processes. This is a hands-on, design-focused role perfect for someone who thrives at the intersection of engineering innovation and practical application.
Responsibilities:
- Design jigs, fixtures, and tooling to support manufacturing and quality inspection
- Develop and maintain 3D CAD models and detailed 2D drawings
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including mechanical, electrical, manufacturing, and quality engineers
- Support design for manufacturability, assembly, and inspection (DFMA)
- Review and release drawings and documentation according to internal standards
Required Qualifications:
- Proficiency in CATIA for mechanical design and drafting
- Experience designing fixtures for machining, assembly, or inspection
- Solid understanding of GD&T and industry-standard technical drawing practices
- Hands-on approach to solving complex design and manufacturing challenges
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality design
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with SolidWorks in a manufacturing environment
- Familiarity with sheet metal and machined part design, as well as robotic assembly tooling
- Knowledge of PCBA, cable harnessing, and/or ESD-safe fixture design
- Experience with hydraulic or pneumatic press tooling
- Background supporting production ramp-up or New Product Introduction (NPI)
